Good Day Pilates

A triple-threat job for a Reformer Pilates studio with three locations in Soho, Williamsburg & Brooklyn Heights.

Scope

An Aussie in New York, Clara, owner of Good Day Pilates, is a physio and Pilates instructor with a passion for both her practice and her community. She initially created her own Squarespace site, but as the business grew – adding an annual pop-up in the Hamptons, a new studio and a teacher training program – she realised it was time to hand over the reins to a web design expert to meet the evolving digital needs of her biz. We not only redesigned her website but also developed a custom online portal on Squarespace, empowering the GDP team to expand their online course offerings for students.

The redesigned GDP site 2.0 coincided with the opening of its third location in Brooklyn Heights, New York. The objective? Refresh the website to better align with the brand’s identity, growth and future direction. We also created the new Good Day Academy online portal, a hub for both current and new students to access Pilates education. The portal features four distinct courses, a categorised video library and personalised student account management, all accessible for life. Importantly, the portal is designed to be updated in real-time, so students always have access to the latest content.

Drawing inspiration from clean, sleek and calming websites like Aesop, excellent design and user experience (UX) took the front seat. The new website and portal not only reflect the community-driven, science-backed approach to Pilates that GDP is known for, but empowers their students with greater flexibility and ownership over their learning experience… all while doing great stuff for their core.
