100% Remote, 100% Vibes

It’s pretty wild to think that Digital Moves began during a pandemic. Being in lockdown for almost 2 years (in Melbourne) was probably the catalyst for me to become a 100% remote shop.

While no place is ever the same, in 2024 anyway. I have worked from Australia, South America and all over Europe (currently in Montenegro as I type this). So, is remote work all it’s hyped up to be? Absolutely, 100%. Working from new places has supercharged my creativity and opened up opportunities to work with businesses worldwide.

Connecting with other creatives living this nomadic lifestyle is a highlight, too. It’s inspiring to hear people’s stories in a space that can feel isolating. Let’s be real—running your own business can be tough and lonely sometimes. But one of the coolest things I’ve learned is just how universal our experiences are, from the highs and lows to the support we give each other.

One of our favorite co-living spots has been Outsite. We’ve stayed at eight of their locations, and hands-down, Madeira, Portugal, takes the top spot for us. It’s an amazing community where you can meet like-minded people on the same path.

Pro tip: Stay at least five weeks in each location. That way, you can settle into a routine, find your go-to coffee shop, favorite grocery store, and maybe even a gym—feels like home in no time.

In the end, the remote lifestyle isn’t just about the freedom to work from anywhere; it’s about the connections, the creativity, and the inspiration that comes from constantly discovering new places and people. Digital Moves is all about embracing that energy and bringing it to the work we do. Whether you’re already living the remote dream or just considering a change, remember—it’s all about finding what fuels you and makes your work come alive. For me, that’s the world, one amazing location at a time.

Big love,
Tess
